Selling Your Panamanian Property - 29 March, 2011
Property in Panama has always been attractive, both as an investment and as a full-time residence.  Panama offers low cost, low crime, and access to quality health care.  Its location has made it a prime location for American retirement because of its laid-back attitude even while it supports a bustling business sector.  The real estate market never suffered the overall setbacks in Panama that the rest of the world experienced, meaning that if you decide to sell your property now, you can still raise a good price.

Panama Appeals to Everyone

People from all over the world come to Panama, and no matter where your property is located, there will be someone looking for just what you have.  In the past, most people tended toward beachfront or ocean view real estate.  However, that is changing.  While these properties are still quite popular, many property seekers are now looking at listings in the suburbs, on the mountains, or in the new resort and gated communities that are being built.  Golf-course communities are becoming quite popular, as well.

Panama appeals to foreign investors and retirees and is also a centre for companies doing business.  The tourism industry has already picked up from a couple of years ago.  This means that Panama properties can be marketed as short-term or transient rentals to the tourist population, as longer-term rentals to corporate clients, or sold to retirees or others choosing to make Panama their home.

Once you decide to sell your Panama real estate, you will want to ensure it is marketed to the broadest audience available.  While many people are familiar, at least in passing, with the country of Panama, many are unaware that standard modern conveniences like high-speed internet, great restaurants, banking centres and ATMs are available throughout the country.  Add to that a very mild climate and you can easily demonstrate the advantages of purchasing your property.

Be sure to take plenty of pictures, both of your property itself and of the surrounding area.  If you are near a town, take a few pictures of the main street or the town's primary attractions.  This can give a potential buyer a good idea of not only what your property looks like, but also the area in which it is situated.  If there is a beach, river or pool involved, be sure to photograph that, too.

With a bit of planning you will be able to sell your property in Panama for an excellent price.
